As the Chief of Police, Chief Jay Murphy oversees the agency’s daily operations. He holds a Bachelor of Public Administration from Eckerd College and is a graduate of the Northwestern University School of Police Staffing and Command, the Police Executive Research Forum Senior Management Institute, and the Florida Criminal Justice Executive Institute Chief Executive Seminar. He is also a certified Team Leader and Assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.
